The Friends in question are Nick Holland and Troy Donockley.

 They have cultivated a unique seam of work over the last decade or so, using song cycles to cover subjects such as Hares, Ravens, Arthur the King, Lionhearts and also covering traditional songs in a distinctive way with the use of Uillean pipes, low whistles, cittern, guitar and keyboards that also fire up added computer driven sounds.

For three people they have a massive and varied sound-scape.

They recently went on a ground-breaking tour of strange and unusual venues with the Quest tour. This was tracked by video and published on the web as they went along.

The tour itself became a Quest, with video diaries and backstage footage, finishing at the extraordinary Rosslyn Chapel.
